(i) comparative analysis based on synthesis and evaluation of physical-chemical characteristics of various ionic liquids types with applications in electrochemical processes, with a work period of 3 months;

(ii) synthesis and physical-chemical and electrochemical characterization of electrochemical media based on ILs based on choline chloride for the electrodeposition of Ni, Ag, Cu, Sn, Al and their alloys and the electropolishing processes, with a work period of 6 months;

(iii) elaboration of electrochemical treatments for electrodeposition and electropolishing involving ILs based on choline chloride, with a work period of 12 months;

(iv) evaluation of the elaborated electrochemical technologies based on the selected ionic liquids at pilot level and finalization of the testing methods, with a work period of 7 months;

(v) finalization and validation of technologies suitable to obtain environmentally friendly ionic liquids suitable for high performance surface electrochemical treatments and applications recommendations, with a work period of 6 months.

These technical objectives are performed in close correlation with some other required objectives at partnership and social level, respectively:

- organization and running of a complex partnership which includes: an university organisation CO-UPB with a valuable experience of more than 35 years in physical chemistry, applied electrochemistry, including significant preoccupations in the field of electrochemical processes in molten salts, two research organisations, P2 and P3 specialized in new materials and electrochemical technologies developments, respectively in physical-chemical characterization of various reaction media through applied thermodynamics approaches and two industry organizations with research-development activities, respectively P1-PSV with experience and significant achievements in the development and promotion of technologies with a minimum impact on environment for different industrial processes including galvanotechnics and P4-Felix, specialized in development and application of electrochemical technologies in electronic industry, especially for PCBs;

- diminishing of the pollutant effect of technological activities taking into account the fact that the main objective is represented by obtaining of some environmentally friendly products and technologies, that may also contribute to the minimization of the quantities of dangerous industrial wastes release, with beneficial effectson health and occupational security;

- the increase and update of the partners databases, as a result of the project objectives fulfilment and thus supporting both the industrial partners of the project and other economical agents potentially interested in high performance technological transfer that may positively contribute to the production and waste treatments costs diminishing and implicitly to productivity increase.
